Hidden

Now usher in with mirth and song the night,

To stare down death and boldly face the dark

Unknown that lies in shadow. Chase the snark

Within the umbra hid, it is delight.

Why wallow in monotony despite

Man's nature which demands one to be stark.

Resplendent boredom?  Won't you make your mark

Upon a world that's cowering in fright?

No Ev'rest must you scale to realize

The strength unlimited within you hid.

The inward battles faced and fought unseen

Far from the jaded gaze and watchful eyes

Of those who would your actions now forbid.

They've no idea the places you have been.
