Let It Go

The past has passed and let it go we must 

For like a compass, it can only guide 

Our future steps when we deem to adjust, 

Sidestepping errors we must lay aside.  

For only when we can, ourselves forgive,

Then they who've hurt us, we can too absolve. 

Those memories and shackles we outlive 

When we determine to, as Man, evolve.  

With vision thus enlightened we'll now move 

Unhindered with belief that we deserve 

To worry 'bout when others disapprove 

And from our new determined path ne'er swerve.  

Responsibility's on us alone 

Our own sins only do need we atone.
