True Friendship is Gold

What sparks a heart to reach a star so bright

And out of reach as you to me would seem

Beyond the pale of normalcy, a dream.

Yet still, connections such as this excite

The soul and from such friendship will ignite

Between the two, each other will esteem.

For only by the hand of God a scheme

Like this can flower, bringing sure delight.

Life's drudgery can now be viewed anew

When not alone, a true friend has your back.

Two hearts connected so they can pursue,

Amidst the Maelstrom that may block their view,

Together all the things the other lacks.

True friendship is a rare thing to accrue.
